Boot Camp 3 - Taking Charge of Your Articulation

I am honoured to be the master of ceremony in this boot camp 3 and i think it is really a precious experience for me. After being the master of ceremony, i have learnt that it is very important to deal with sudden cases because there are lots of unknown in an event.

Also, i have learnt that cooperation is very important since every organising committee is the part of this event. We need to coordinate well in order to hold a event.

I think there is still room for improvement since it is the first time that we organise a boot camp. Communication is important and i think we should enhance the cohesion between us. I hope there will be more chances for us to improve our skills in organising activities in the future!

The Practical Interview Skills had come to an end, however I think what I have learnt will stay in my mind forever.

This is my first time to be a project manager and I think it is a precious experience. I would like to thank Mr. Liew and Mr. Wong, who give me the chance to learn. Also, I would like to thank the SRC, allowing Year 1 students to gain experiences and learn a lesson. Moreover, I want to thank all the alumni, who participate in this activity and give out their time and effort to help us. As well as these, I am very grateful to have this group of organizing committee, because this activity held in the mid-term period,
but they still insist to be a part of this activity.

“Chance favors the prepared mind.” Practical Interview Skills Workshop provides a precious chance for Year 2 students to equip themselves. However, I have learnt that we should grab the chance by ourselves instead of taking chances for granted. This can be applied to all situation, no matter in the college, or in the society, chances will slip away if you are not well prepared.

We know that it is not a perfect activity, there are still many room for improvements, I am sure that we all learnt a lesson and we can do better next time. Moreover, I hope the coming Year 1 students will continue to hold this kind of activity and the Year 2 students will come back and help us when they become alumni. This is the most precious thing in the ABAA programme, passing the flame of remembrance onto the next generation.

The ACCA Community Day Rickshaw Race had come to an end, I am glad to be one member of the representative team of CCCU. It is good to participate in community event which helps the underprivileged groups and share love in the society. In this event, I had learnt to corporate with my team members. I was the assistant who help the puller to change the direction of the rickshaw, it seemed easy but actually it needed lots of energy. However, when my teammates ran, I saw they paid lots of effort, I felt we were united and worked as a team. At last, although we got the fifth place, I thought we had learnt more than just a competition.

Moreover, i am glad to be the treasurer of this event. I knew that holding a event needs a lot of people with different roles to cooperate. Although it is just a relatively small event, i have already knew that holding a event is not that easy. Hope that I can have more chances to participate in different events and learn more!

Boot Camp 1 - Self Empowerment in Learning

"Everyone is an unopened gift." This was one of the lessons I learnt in Boot Camp 1. We are gifts from our parents, we have the ability to shine, even shine to influence others. The biggest fear in our mind is not the limitations which limit us, but it is the power that we own, that we can do everything, there is NO limitations.

In this Boot Camp 1, I was the Master of Ceremony. This was the first time for me to be a MC in Boot Camp and i thought it was quite challenging because when there was any unexpected event or delay of event, me and my partner would need to control the whole situation and give instructions. This was a chance for me to train my communication and adaptability to changes.

I wish to bring good memories and experiences to Year1 freshmen, because I have benefited a lot from last year Boot Camp 1. Throughout this Boot Camp 1, they have chance to go hiking, and also chance for them to think deeply about their strengths and weaknesses. Moreover, every Year 1 students would have a mentor in order to let them adapt the tertiary learning environment as soon as possible. Boot Camp 1 provide a platform for us to meet our mentees and form network between Year 1 and Year 2 students.

I hope there are still different activities for me and also for all of the students to shine, to influence others by our action.

ABAA Student Representative Council

Being the chairperson of the ABAA Student Representative Council, I am confident that we can act as a team, to provide better tertiary learning environment to ABAA students. We hope to develop soft skills for ABAA students, therefore we will carry out a series of activities in order to provide opportunities for students to join and even to organize activities.

I am glad that I have joined this Tour de Taiwan 2016, because what I have learnt is more than cycling. Living our life is like cycling, we need to make effort (pedal) in order to have a beautiful life (gain the distance). And when there are difficulties or easy times (riding uphill or downhill), we need to change our expectations (like changing to high or lowgears) in order to keep the same pace of progress (keeping same speed).  When we have ups and downs, we need to change our attitudes to over pessimistic or over confidence. Also, I enjoyed the unity of my team!
